Dear Colleague,
On the 17th- 20th of June 2010, our University Foundation L.U.Me.N.Oli.S together with C.R.O.M.O.N. srl (Centro Ricerche Olistiche per la Medicina Osteopatica e Naturale) and Marrapese Editore srl, are organizing the second edition of the Italian Congress on Osteopathic Medicine.
The congress will have the following title:

Second National Congress on Osteopathic Medicine
Scientists meet Osteopaths: towards a Systemic Medicine
Osteopathy in the Ages of Life

The aim of the event will be to offer a solid context in where doctors, dentists, scientists, clinicians, and osteopaths can gather together towards a common language, sharing their successes as well as their doubts, needs and difficulties on operating in a synergic manner. In order to support this idea, we will be giving a particular emphasis to the round table sessions, considering that, as in the First National Congress, many chairs and principals of hospitals and clinics will be participating.

The II Italian Osteopathic Congress will be articulated on 4 days:

- Thursday the 17th of June 2010 : it will be dedicated to the presentation of the best undergraduate research projects of the most representative Italian schools of Osteopathy;
- From Friday the 18th to Sunday the 20th the Congress will be based on the following sessions:

1. Friday 18th of June 2010

- from 09:00 to 11:00:
Opening, Introduction, Legislative and Political Session: Education and Profession in the Osteopathic Field. Integration between Osteopathic and Allopathic Medicine in Europe and Overseas
- from 11:30 to 13:30:
Is there any possible integration between Medical and Osteopathic considerations in the obstetric field?
- from 15:00 to 16:10:
Childhood: Evidences of medical and osteopathic perspectives
- from 16:40 to 18:20:
The “turbulence” of the adolescence from an integrated medical and osteopathic approach

2. Saturday 19th of June 2010

- from 09:00 to 10:40:
Evidences of medical and osteopathic integration on the assessment and treatment of pre and post surgical conditions
- from 11:10 to 13:30:
Different perspectives of assessment and treatment of acute traumatic conditions
- from 15:00 to 16:40:
Medical and osteopathic evidences on evaluation and treatment of sport related injuries
- from 16:40 to 18:20:
Geriatric disorders: evidences of evaluation and treatment of the Medical and Osteopathic approaches

3. Sunday 20th of June 2010
- from 09:00 to 13:00: Workshop sessions and poster presentations

• Viola Frymann – The osteopathic approach to patients with neurological disorders in the paediatric field
• Andry Vleeming – Movement, Stability and Low Back Pain
• Franz Buset – Biomechanics analysis of the anterior neck, thorax and digestive track
• Jean Dominique Moll – The somato-emotional approach in Osteopathy
• Siegmar Gerken – The pulsation of Being: allowing the flow and giving the flow direction
• Eric Pratt – The Osteopathic Mechanical Link applied to the spine and pelvis

A simultaneous translation will be provided throughout the congress in the following 3 different languages Italian/French/English. More information are available on the attached pdf file
